Dalsa named as defendant in lawsuit seeking $22-million
Dalsa Corp says it's being sued by Cold Creek Enterprises and its controlling shareholder Bob DaSilva, who are seeking $22 million in damages from Dalsa and individual defendants.
 
The lawsuit asks for a court order requiring Dalsa and the other defendants to pay for the value of shares held by the plaintiffs in Dalsa Digital Cinema Inc.

Economic downturn slows the digital rollout in Europe

Digital-cinema progress in Europe, much like in the Americas and Asia, has slowed considerably due to the worldwide economic downturn. Although the total is approaching 1,600 digital screens, up from around 1,300 in mid-2008, growth is falling short of previous industry predictions.

Both companies have signed a contract with Cinéville for the installation of thirty Barco 2K digital cinema projectors in five multiplexes.

Cinedigm Digital Cinema Financial Results
Access Integrated Technologies, now doing business as Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. reported a 3% increase in fiscal year 2009 revenue to $83.0 million, and an 18% decrease in revenue, to $17.9 million for the fiscal 2009 fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009, versus the year-ago periods. 
Tim Bevan to be New Chair of the UK Film Council
Mr Bevan, who is co-founder and co-chairman of Working Title Films, will take over from outgoing chairman Stewart Till CBE. The appointment is for four years and will start on 30 July 2009.
