VER Acquires HD/SD Camera Related Equipment from DALSA
|

DALSA announced that Video Equipment Rentals
("VER"), an international AV, audio, broadcast and
computer equipment rental company, has purchased
DALSA's inventory of High Definition and Standard
Definition ("HD/SD") camera related equipment.
The equipment sold does not include DALSA's Origin
or Evolution digital cinema cameras or related "4K"
equipment.

MOVING iMAGE TECHNOLOGIES has partnered with
All Media Capital to assist theatre owners in
participating in the 3D and digital cinema rollout, while
at the same time providing the means for an exhibitor
to maintain control of his own projection equipment
With the recent announcement from Paramount
Pictures, who has agreed to provide direct re-
imbursement to exhibitors through VPFs (virtual print
fees), it is an ideal time to install digital systems for
the upcoming slate of 3D releases.

screens across its estate.

MEDIA BROADCAST is providing End-to-end services
developed in line with DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative)
specifications and Hollywood Studios requirements
regarding the transmission and showing of movies,
monitoring of the technology and transmission
security.
This enables Theatres with the appropriate
equipment to access MEDIA BROADCAST's own
Europe-wide satellite distribution network

Christie Helps Galaxy Theatres Use Digital Cinema Technology to Promote Education
|
|
|
Christie announced that its cinema projectors were
used by Galaxy Theatres in Gig Harbor, Washington to
beam down live images of NASA astronauts onboard
the International Space Station as they answered
questions from students at the multiplex.

Paramount Pictures Announces Direct-to-Exhibitors Digital Cinema Deal
|
|
|
The deal works in parallel with previously announced
agreements with DCIP (Digital Cinema
Implementation Partners), Cinedigm, Kodak, and
Sony but allows exhibitors to seek financing for d-
cinema systems locally rather than wait for
comprehensive integrator agreements, which require
significantly more upfront capital, to be completed.
In addition, the agreement allows exhibitors to own
and control their equipment (which is required to be
DCI/SMPTE compliant), and to switch to an integrator-
supported agreement at a later date if desired.

The Arts Council and the Irish Film Board announce recipients of Cinema Digitisation Scheme grants
|
|
|
The Cinema Digitisation Scheme is an initiative of the
Cultural Cinema Consortium, a strategic partnership
between the Arts Council and the Irish Film Board.
The purpose of the scheme is to provide capital
grants for the purchase and installation of digital
projection equipment to cinemas that offer a cultural
cinema programme on a year-round basis.
