Barco Expands its Chinese Film Industry Penetration by Supplying Digital Cinema Projectors to Beijing Film Company

Barco has contracted to provide four digital cinema projectors – the DP2K-12C, -20C, -23B, and -32B – to the Beijing Film Company. This sophisticated equipment further enhances Beijing Film Company's film exhibition capacities and treats audiences to superior movie experiences and heightened cinema charm.

An established state-owned, large-scale cultural enterprise, Beijing Film Company is following the trends of film digitalization and the new requirements for digital film screening equipment. After rigorous inspection and testing sessions, the company chose Barco as its supplier to showcase leading technology and integrative solutions.

Each of the four digital cinema projectors serves a specific cinema environment:

• The DP2K-32B creates an unparalleled visual experience thanks to its Guinness Record holding ultra-bright performance – greatly enhancing screen brightness and lifelike 3D effects on a 32-meter wide screen.

• The DP2K-23B ultra-high brightness digital cinema projector is specially designed for 23-meter wide screens and ensures the same High frame effects for both 2D and 3D movies.

• The two compact digital cinema projectors – DP2K-12C and DP2K-20C – provide small theatres with high brightness, distinct contrast and bright colors.
