Ballantyne to Highlight its Digital Cinema Equipment and Service Offerings at ShowEast

Ballantyne of Omaha, Inc., a provider of cinema equipment and services, announced today that its Strong Digital Systems division ("Strong"), partnered with NEC Corporation of America, will be exhibiting the NEC Starus(TM) Line of digital cinema projectors at the annual ShowEast motion picture theatre industry convention in Orlando, Florida from Monday, October 13 through Thursday, October 16, 2008. The Convention is being held at the Orlando World Center Marriott, and Ballantyne's ShowEast booths are 700--708 and 801--809.

Ballantyne-Strong and NEC will also be hosting the ShowEast Opening Day Luncheon on Tuesday, October 14th at 12:30 pm EDT.

Ballantyne will also be showing its other cinema product and service offerings at ShowEast. Representatives of Ballantyne's digital cinema service organization, Strong Technical Services (STS), and its recently acquired cinema screen subsidiary, Strong Screen Systems (SSS), will be on hand to speak with customer prospects. In addition to meeting with customers, industry participants and the media, Ballantyne management, including president and CEO, John P. Wilmers, and CFO, Kevin Herrmann, will be available to meet with members of the investment community at ShowEast.
