STRATACACHE to Lead Seminar on DCP Distribution at Cinema India Expo 2008 in Mumbai

STRATACACHE, the leader in scalable content delivery, digital media and caching solutions, is scheduled to present a seminar presentation at Cinema India Expo 2008 in Mumbai.

The presentation seminar, titled “DCP Distribution over Satellite and Terrestrial WAN,” will be presented on Friday, June 6 at 11:15 a.m.

Ramkumar Ramamurty, STRATACACHE Digital Media Business Development Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, will lead the seminar. Mr. Ramamurty will focus his discussion on how digital cinema packages (DCPs) are reliably and efficiently distributed over different types of networks with guaranteed delivery. He will also address the necessary tools for end-to-end content integration, provide a thorough assessment of NACK-based MFTP versus FEC (Forward Error Correction), and briefly discuss how the same technology is beneficial for digital signage content distribution to movie theaters.

Mr. Ramamurty recently joined the STRATACACHE team on the forefront of its ongoing digital cinema, digital signage, and content distribution projects in India.

STRATACACHE recently announced its new Indian office in Mumbai in conjunction with the availability of its upgraded digital cinema solution, OmniCast for Digital Cinema.

The Cinema India Expo will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre June 5-7 in Mumbai, India. Now in its eighth successive year, the expo is one of India’s only trade shows and conventions for the motion picture industry in India.
